MMH Episode VI – Ticking Clock: Expert Time Management, GLM Conference Recap, Charley’s Hating on Hulu Plus, Plus Tips on Creating Consumer-Friendly Websites

Foster Web Marketing and Great Legal MarketingWelcome to the 11th milestone in the series known as the Marketing Marketing Happen Podcast with Jimmy Daly and Charley Mann!  Fresh off of the Great Legal Marketing Rescue Mission in New Jersey, the guys give a recap of what you may have missed to start the show.

Then, they turn their attention to the topic of time management.  Jimmy shares his new favorite book by Chet Holmes and what it is teaching him about managing his time on the clock.  There are some really important lessons here about getting your team to respect the schedule that you create – which means tuning out interruptions and not letting employees walk into your office whenever they want.

There is even a solid discussion on setting limits for meetings.  As we all know, staff meetings can be lengthy, drawn-out events that hardly ever seem to get anything accomplished.  Well, Jimmy and Charley have some ways you can correct that problem.

Charley then shares a few harsh words about Hulu Plus before the guys give their weekly how-to on creating a website with the end user in mind.  It’s all about getting the online visitor exactly to where he or she wants to go on your website with minimal fuss.  Jimmy’s busting out the three-button layout (a dangerous kung-fu move) to help you find a direction for your site.
